The errors .png you see are harmless ones, most likely related to the fact that the skin couldn't initially find some weather icon image whose file name hasn't yet been initialized (or which wasn't yet downloaded from the internet) given the non instantaneous nature of retrieving data from the web and possibly using the [#nested] syntax for variables.
Rainmeter currently issues a warning in the log if a skin points to any invalid image path, instead of ignoring the missing image altogether (like it happened previously for some time). As you noticed, this doesn't hurt the skin's functionality, because as soon as the image name is set or retrieved by the skin, the warnings will cease to be issued in the log.
